Est. 1900

Bolivian judgment. International standards.

Est. 1900

Founded in La Paz in 1900, C.R. & F. Rojas Abogados is Bolivia’s longest-established law firm. For more than 125 years, we have advised clients through the country’s defining economic, political, and regulatory transformations.

Today, we represent multinational companies, financial institutions, investors, Bolivian enterprises, and private clients in their most consequential matters. From our offices in La Paz, Santa Cruz, and Cochabamba, we advise throughout Bolivia and coordinate matters across jurisdictions.

Our Approach

Advice designed to move matters forward.

Clients engage us for more than an interpretation of Bolivian law. They rely on us to understand what the law means for their objectives, identify the issues that matter, and provide a practical path to execution.

Our work spans market entry, investments, transactions, financing, regulation, contracts, disputes, restructurings, and ongoing operations. We assemble multidisciplinary teams around each matter, allowing clients to receive coordinated advice without navigating separate departments.

Many international companies rely on us as an extension of their in-house legal teams in Bolivia. We advise them not only on major transactions and disputes, but also on the regulatory, corporate, contractual, and operational decisions that determine how their businesses perform over time.

Partner-Led Service

Senior attention throughout.

Every important engagement is partner-led. Our partners remain directly involved from the initial assessment through execution, giving clients access to experienced decision-makers when timing, judgment, and accountability matter most.

This approach allows us to respond quickly, prioritize risk, and provide clear recommendations rather than theoretical analysis. It also ensures continuity: the lawyers who understand the client’s objectives remain closely engaged throughout the relationship.

International Capability

At home in Bolivia. Connected across borders.

Our lawyers combine a command of Bolivian law and market practice with international education, professional experience, and qualifications across multiple jurisdictions. Many have studied or trained at leading institutions in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, and several are dual-qualified.

We are regularly instructed by multinational businesses and leading international law firms when a transaction, investigation, financing, restructuring, or regulatory project involves Bolivia. Our teams are accustomed to working in English and Spanish, coordinating across time zones, and meeting the standards and expectations of international counsel.

Through longstanding relationships and memberships in leading international legal networks, we provide clients with access to trusted counsel around the world. This enables us to coordinate multijurisdictional matters efficiently while remaining accountable for the Bolivian elements of each engagement.

Our People

International experience. Local judgment.

Our firm brings together lawyers from different backgrounds and generations around a shared standard of excellence. They include internationally educated and dual-qualified lawyers, former in-house counsel, university professors, arbitrators, and professionals with substantial experience in Bolivia’s most important industries.

What unites them is a commitment to rigorous analysis, practical advice, personal responsibility, and a clear understanding of the client’s business.
